Pastry cook training

Pastry Cooks (m/w) produce pies and cakes, candies/chocolates, confectionery, "Marzipan" and sugar products, salty snacks, cheese biscuits and other cookies as well as ice-cream.

Pastry Cooks (m/f) are mainly employed 

  • in pastry shops, confectioneries, cafés or bakeries with pastries

  • in the patisserie sector of large hotels and restaurants

Moreover, they are employed

  • in the baked goods and sweets industry

A pastry cook (m/f) is an occupation requiring a formal training of 3 years (handcraft).
